Melike Yucel received her M.A. in English Language Teaching from Cukurova University, Turkey. She specializes in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. She has been teaching English for 3 years in Turkey. She attended LOT Linguistics School in the Netherlands in 2005. She presented a paper on "Critical Thinking Skills of Young Learners" at the International ELT Conference held at the American University in Cairo, Egypt in February, 2006. In October 2006, she also presented a paper on "Teaching Critical Thinking Skills to Language Learners" at the ITEFL International Conference in Konin, Poland. She has written her M.A. thesis on "Critical Thinking Skills through Task-based Learning." Last year she won a Fulbright Scholarship and she is now teaching second-year Turkish at PSU.
