Ona Aliaj moved to the US from Tirana, Albania.  In April 2005 she  received her B.S. in Business Administration and Minor in  Communications from Cascade College.  Ms. Aliaj spent a summer abroad  studying Spanish at the Universidad de Valladolid, in Valladolid,  Spain where she graduated with honors.  In June 2008 she graduated  from Portland State University with her M.A. in Spanish.  She is  currently pursuing her 2nd M.A. in Applied Linguistics TESOL at PSU.   Ona has been teaching 2nd year Spanish at PSU for the last 3 years and  will be teaching 3rd year Spanish language and will be the  Undergraduate Advisor for the Spanish Section beginning Fall 09.  Besides her teaching at PSU, she has taught 1st and 2nd year Spanish  at Cascade College along with English as a Second Language classes  such as: Reading & Writing, Listening & Speaking, Conversation and  Culture.  Ona's interests and passions are teaching Spanish, Spanish  linguistics, Second Language Acquisition, Individual Differences in  SLA, Comparative Linguistics and Cultural Studies.   Ms. Aliaj has studied and speaks Albanian, Greek, English, Spanish and Italian.
