Sandra Freels Ph.D. (Stanford University) Russian Language & Literature

Sandra Freels has taught Russian language, literature, and cultural history at Portland State since 1981. She is the author of two textbooks, Focus on Russian and The Golden Age, and is currently at work on a third. In 1999, RUS 330U - Russian Culture and Civilization received PSU's Teaching and Learning with Technology award. The same year, Dr. Freels received the George Hoffman award for excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service.
