Kana Ito

  • M.A. in Teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language from San
    Francisco State University
  • B.A. in Human Sciences from Keio University, Japan.
  • Academic interests: Pedagogy of teaching Japanese language, technical translation, Japanese culture, cross cultural communication
  • Hobbies: viewing Kabuki and musical plays, Way of Tea (= Japanese Tea Ceremony), reading, cooking, exploring exotic food and restaurants

Yoko Sakurauchi

  • B.A. in Education, Shimane University, Japan
  • M.A. in Communication Studies, Portland State University
  • Doctoral student in Education, Portland State University
  • Research interest: intercultural education in foreign language education at colleges and universities
  • Hobbies: marathon and  tennis
  • Other interests: social event coordinator for the Japanese section

Mami Harano

  • Graduate student in Japanese M.A. program
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language validated by the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UK, London)
  • Research interests: Business Japanese, Comparative linguistic among English, Hindi and Japanese
  • Hobbies: watching movies, Japanese traditional dance

Shinya Uchida

  • Graduate student in MA TESOL program
  • B.A. in English as a Foreign Language from Kyoto University of Foreign Studies.
  • Interests: every aspect of Japanese as a foreign language, especially pragmatics, Japanese culture, and Japanese history.
  • Hobbies: watching movies, playing tennis and ping pong, and watching ice hockey.
Keiko Sugiue
  • Graduate Student in M.A. Japanese
  • B.S. in Environmental Science from Kobe Jyogakuin College in Japan.

  • Research Interests: Heritage language education, Japanese-American studies, Psychology, Ethnography of Communication

Miki Murakami

Naoki Fuse

Sanae Ishiguro
